Academic background and professional career

Marco Habrik studied law at the University of Zurich from where he graduated in 1993 (lic. iur.). After graduating he worked as a law clerk and presiding judge of the conciliation agency in tenancy matters at the District Court of Meilen. He was admitted to the Bar in 1997. Thereafter, he worked as a high court law clerk at the Commercial Court of the Canton of Zurich and additionally served as an Associate Judge at the District Court of Meilen. Following postgraduate studies, with an emphasis on international trade law, at the New York University (LL.M., 2000), Marco Habrik practiced for more than 20 years as an attorney and partner at a law firm in Zurich focusing on business law. At the beginning of 2022, Marco Habrik joined Rutschmann Schwaibold Partner as a partner. 

Preferred Areas of Practice

Marco Habrik holds the title "Certified Specialist SBA Employment Law". In addition to his advisory and litigation services in the field of employment law, he advises clients on business law issues, particularly in the areas of trade, corporate, contract, and tenancy law, and represents clients' interests in court and administrative proceedings
